MASTER OF SCIENCE IN GLOBAL FINANCE (New York Univresity / HUKST Business School, Hong Kong)

I am in the process of re-directing my career into the finance/investment arena. Specifically in IB, private or public equity.

I do have an MBA already from a less-known institution. I am thinking of strengthening my resume by attending a program at NYU (Master of Science in Global Finance). The program is in conjunction with HUKST, a well-known business school in Hong Kong.

I know that many of the inhabitants of this site are well-rooted already in the area that I am interested. Do give me your priceless input regarding this matter.

The link to the program is below. Do take a quick view of it:

Give us a little bit more info. What have you been doing in your career, what areas in finance are you interested in, how are you going to make a seamless transition into civilian life?

My first impression was your interesting syntax and juxtaposition of wording. I would definately read a few financial magazines and journals (economist, financial times) daily to improve your writing.

I am currently a Senior Financial Analyst for a European manufacturing company and my position is a diverting me from my field of interest. In addition, the overall comp is not that attractive in comparison to other finance oriented positions. I will definitely take up your advice in relation to my rather less correct linguistic syntaxes.

How old are you? Have you thought of doing a Msc of Finance... there are a host of them, all relatively prestigious.

You could create a story for yourself

undergrad--mba--marines--current position --->>> Msc Finance ---> *Career changee with that extra credential.

I would also take age into account.

just my 2 cents, best of luck.

I am turning 32 yrs old. I sometimes think this can be a hurdle in my effort of breaking into higher finance related positions.

Below is the link of an MS in Global Finance from NYU/HUKST. Do visit and let me know your insight.
