Masters in Accounting (Macc)
Hello, I'm currently a graduate student doing a five year plan in accounting. (4 years for undergrad, and 1 for masters)
After doing two internships in accounting and finance, I've come to realize that finance is a better fit for me. I started to look for professions in finance, and I've started to gain interest in ibanking. From what I've seen and heard, there are number of ibanks that does and does not hire students with a Masters degree other than MBAs.
For example, my school's career office shows banks like Citigroup, Merrill Lynch and William Blair hire Macc students. But JP Morgan, Deutsche, and Morgan Stanley doesn't seem to hire Macc students.
For those banks, is it very difficult for non-MBA graduate students to get an interview?
Thanks.
