I will be starting my undergrad studies at a top school in Europe (think RSM/HSG/Bocconi/ESADE) and I'm wondering how difficult it will be to get recruited for a IB stint in Mauritius. Would it be "enough" to gain some relevant experience in Europe (tas) and then apply for an internship at banks in Mauritius? Can someone give me an insight into their Visa system? And how is the pay over there?

Not very active internally but international banks do offshore lending, as Mauritius is a chosen jurisdiction for HoldCos in Africa. I don't know about their Visa system but almost everybody who works there is either from Mauritius or India.
