MBA Associate Fails

Yesterday I heard my MBA Associate huffing and puffing at the desk next to me. I look over and he has a data table formatted, but is doing every calc by hand in the cells. I laugh to myself. Amateur. I calmly offer to show him a trick, navigate to ‘data table’ by a few swift keystrokes, and were off. He looks at me like he just discovered his first boner. Pure joy coupled with a modicum of confusion. He proceeds to go into the model for every active deal we are working on and starts creating sensitivity tables everywhere. He is ecstatic.

This is a thread for humorous working interactions with your newly minted MBA Associate.

I once politely asked an analyst on what/ how he thinks abt xxx and how it should flow/work just to be a team player and the analysts spent 10 mins explaining all the yields and mortgages terms (work in FIG) and how it flows through the model. He must have thought I was a dumbhead. I said thanks and great knowledge! Sent him my LinkedIn invite the next day so he knows I used to cover ER in that same space.
