md wants me to fwd cv and i dont wanna do it

I am a 2nd yr associate at a 2nd tier mm and today an alumni who is an md at another mm told me that one of his very good employees got laid off about a week ago and asked me if my firm is hiring. My firm is hiring due to the high no. of departures recently but the mgmt here are a pain in the ass, arrogant, and the sickest fucks you see in this business. I do not want another person to go through what I am going thru now. what should i do? pre-warn them? or just pass the cv? thanks

edit: thanks for the advice ppl. but i ultimately dont want to be bad mouthing my existing firm because i'd like to make a switch eventually to another firm and this other firm might very well be the firm that my alumni is working at now.
