Mentor me? MM IB and ER Analyst; 1.5 years of experience

  • Emerging/frontier market.
  • Small office of a big multiregional MM bank - doing both IB (IPO, DCM) and ER since the beginning of 2020.
  • One year of experience as an economic analyst at a stock exchange before moving to banking.
  • Academic profile: ACCA student, CISI associate member, MSc in Accounting (at UK target by distance learning) expected by 2022, chartered ACCA expected by the same year. Doing ACCA as I have no degree and thus it appeared to be a solid route to get a Masters from a target UK uni as a part of the programme, being within my budget and entirely flexible.
  • Coursera instructor for finance & analytics in my free time (already have several courses up and running).
  • Language profile: English, German, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish (all at the adequate working proficiency).

Looking to move to an associate position in IB to London/Frankfurt/Zurich in late 2022, but not really sure what to do. Anyone willing to mentor me?

“Destiny is a gift. Some go their entire lives, living existences of quiet desperation, never learning the truth that what feels as though a burden pushing down upon their shoulders is really a sense of purpose that lifts us to greater heights. Never forget that fear is but the precursor to valor, that to strive and triumph in the face of fear is what it means to be a hero. Don’t think. Become.”
