With increasing frequency Excel has been crashing on me. It will attempt to recover my work and either get stuck loading in the process or recover my work without the changes that have been made since the last user save. My spreadsheet right now is 15MB and growing. I utilize FactSet formulas quite frequently as well as links to external spreadsheets and macros. I can often cause Excel to crash again on command by replicating whatever string of actions I had just completed. Most recently it had happened following a paste of raw data from FactSet to Excel and then immediately after clicking recommended charts. It has happened on many other occasions in response to different actions, but I don't have historical examples.
Has anyone else been experiencing this? If so, how did you fix it?
I'm posting this in the I-Banking Bullpen as it seems to be the most fitting industry for my question.
