Minimm 1 year exp

I see a lot of job postings require 1 year of experience - how firm are employers regarding this?

I've heard of 1 bank that doesn't take the 1 year of exp too seriously (previous IB internships are good enough).

My background is 8-9 months of PE/IB internships in total.

is it conceivable to lateral to mega funds (TPG, blackstone etc) from mid-size (200milAUM is mid?), for PE. when is the best to do this in the calendar year?

karyptoDepends, most firms look at post grad work experience. By depends, I mean if you get an interview then the experience of your internships comes in to play. The one year mark is for people looking to lateral.
