Mizuho - Strategic Solutions Group (?)
Seen postings about this group on LinkedIn and Glassdoor. I don't see Mizuho pop up too often in the forums, so just wanted to see if anyone had thoughts on this Strategic Solutions Group? It seems like mix between Financial Sponsors and their LevFin group. If anyone had color on those two latter groups, that would be helpful as well. I copied and pasted below the job posting details...

Have a buddy from school working there. They do a lot of corporate finance and ratings advisory. I think they are closer to corporate banking.
Bump
I think the group is expanding after the recent reorg.
A lot of banks have similar groups. Capital structure advisory/ratings/other corp fin stuff. This group seems like it might do bridge underwrites, which is unique. Some banks put it in the I-bank some in the corporate bank. It's a blend.
Groups like this are bells/whistles to the core platform. 1/50 ideas pitched might raise an eyebrow at a meeting 1/250 might get you outsized fees in a bond offering and help uptier a relationship. Not an easy thing to put on a resume, but seems like a well rounded industry agnostic experience, especially if financing is interesting to you. The bridge underwriting aspect puts deals on the resume, which is nice.
bump any updates on this group?
