MM firm - predatory return offer terms
My firm gave out return offers to our interns, almost all of whom were rockstars. When discussing whether they thought they’d take the offer or not, they mentioned how they only got 4 days to decide, with only 24 hours to receive the full bonus.
Industry standard according to buddies across EB, BB, MM is 2 weeks. This seems predatory and I think at least half of the interns will be reneging (MM product group). Are your banks also speeding up offer explosion timelines?
Seems scummy by HR.
1 week at my bank
Congrats on UBS, no longer a BB so I assume falls into MM category
lmao just renege
What are the consequences of doing this? Do most ppl renege when they’re trying to trade up given how short offer deadlines usually are?
Not optimal for enabling you to re-recruit elsewhere, but far from predatory
Can’t blame a bank for not wanting you to use them as a backup option
Del
What interns get bonuses? All we get is the moving stipend once we start FT- Mid tier BB
I guess it’s a sign on bonus
