Model DIV's out when closing out

I know I posted a similar topic the other day, but now the situation has gotten a little stranger... My model is fine, I can refresh, F9, everything without having any issues. I save it down as a new version and have no issues. However, as soon as I click "X" to exit out of Excel, a large portion of the model shows #DIV/0!. Unfortunately my firm's model has macros built into it (and I am not a programmer so I cannot really diagnose if that has something to do with it). I know I can just make sure I save down a new version before exiting every time, I just want to know if anyone else has seen this problem in the past?

Thanks.

First, save a backup (for important files, you should always have a backup stored off your machine, on a server). I back up all my work stuff to an external harddrive, a USB, and the internet. Data backup is ultra important.

Then, in your file, try doing some stuff in it, but not saving. Click the X like you're going to exit, and when it asks you to save; save it (again, make sure you have a backup).

When you reopen the saved file, does it have the DIV error?

It's probably some sort of glitch, maybe you have an if function where one of the outputs is zero and that links to other cells and what not. The underworkings of excel can be quite mysterious lol.

Sounds like the build-in macros are referencing certain cells that you may have moved around? Did you copy/paste or change the location of any major cells? Try checking a different model and see if everything is in the same spot. Not sure though. My VBA isn't that good either.

This is a common one, that's why you should name references if you're running macros on models that don't have an uber strict format/template.
