Diversity only matters if you are female.
black helps more tbh, especially if your name is extremely ethnic
One-off may be. Usually, it is females, especially white ones that end up benefitting from DEI quotas. HR cares primarily about gender diversity given how management commits to targets i.e. 40% females in capital markets by 2027
Black and Hispanic are huge

No one at Moelis gives a fuck about double major in stem and let alone the Ivy degree. Its about you doing well in networking calls so you can have 2 - 3 bankers vouching for you. If you get the interview, its up to you to know your shit. SF team does tech so you should have a very good reason why you want to do tech instead of other groups such as life sci or generalist in NYC. Also, I assume you would also need a good reason why you who goes to a school in the East Coast wants to work in SF. Then, you should expect the usual Moelis technical questions + tech sector specific questions. First round and the most of the SD would be technical questions, so be ready for that. Btw, Moelis doesn't have diversity-specific easy technical questions; if you do a little bit of LinkedIn search you'd be able to realize Moelis has the lowest number of diversity employees among the boutiques.
