Morgan Stanley Menlo Park? Culture/Lifestyle
Obviously, MS MP is well-regarded if you're interested in tech. But do the exit opps outweigh living in Silicon Valley for two years (boring and not 22-year-old friendly) and being worked excessively by a demanding team?
Would appreciate it if someone could explain a bit more about the culture in relation to that of the NYC or SF office and the tradeoffs.

Healthcare is in SF. Menlo is Tech.
Is this specifically in terms of their full time recruiting going on at the moment? Did you receive a super day from them?
It is solely tech.
The culture is obviously intense but the team is very friendly towards recruiting and will work hard to get you placed well after your analyst stint. I have heard that the SF office is more relaxed but the NY office is similar in terms of working you hard. The tradeoffs are that exit opps are largely Cali-based in the MP group (so leans towards tech), and the obvious fact that Menlo Park is not that fun of a place to be. You can always commute from SF (some people do this) but you have to figure out whether the 40-1 hour commute is worth it for living in the city. In any case, they tend to fill their analyst class with SAs so it is very likely that you can figure out that question before starting full-time. If you know that tech is the way you want to go in the future then I would say that it's worth it - you'll get access to the best exit opps in tech that any group could offer you, and you can always go up to SF when you need to indulge in your 22-year-old self. I personally think that the lifestyle issue of being in the valley is a bit overblown. At any top group, you'll be worked to the bone and whether you're in London, NY, or MP, you're still sitting in the same work environment and doing the same kind of work the vast majority of the time. The important things I believe are whether you want to stay in Cali after your analyst stint, and whether you enjoy tech (this will make doing IB work at least more interesting).
I thought MS MP places analysts well in elite PE groups in NY.
