I'm at a BB (coverage group) looking to make a move onto the buy-side. Has any of heard of Morningwood Capital Partners? I have talked to the Director there (cold-call) and honestly he seemed like a real dick but said he admired my balls. said he wood move me onto to the next steps if I could prove to be thirsty enough for the job. The call didn't last long (I finished early). Sounds like a very premature announcement to make right after a cold-call. What do you guys think?

You need to learn how to keep older guys like that stimulated for a longer time. Try not to finish so fast next time. I would try to keep your mind on other things while talking to him to prevent yourself from getting too excited and spewing stuff through the phone and ruining your chances.
From the way it sounds though, as long as you prove to him you have some big balls and are thirsty for whatever he shoots at you, you should be fine.
this is where your BULGE bracket experience pays off. this is always a HARD choice but i am sure you will COME to the right decision.
