Most Common Face in the World - National Geographic
National Geographic Magazine released a video clip, below, showing the most "typical" human face on the planet as part of its series on the human race called "Population 7 billion."
The researchers conclude that a male, 28-year-old Han Chinese man is the most typical person on the planet. There are 900 million of them. No wonder I see so many on Wall Street :). Credit Suisse also released research that the fastest growing countries often DO NOT have the best performing stock markets over 10 year periods (bubble theory).
The image above is a composite of nearly 200,000 photos of men who fit that description.
Don't get used to the results, however. Within 20 years, the most typical person will reside in India.
My roommate back in college looked like that
would be more interesting to average a face from all races, weighted average by ethnicity.
Half my floor looks like that.
Maybe the typical person will be Indian, but "Indian" isn't really an ethnic group like Han Chinese, so the typical face will probably still be Han Chinese. Tamils and Manipuris for instance, don't really share facial features at all.
great point, north and south indians have distinct features as well
