what are the most prestigious HFs (for PE there is a pretty defined list) but it is hard to compare prestigious of top HFs like Citadel, soros, moore, paulson. help!?

I think the ones you listed are pretty accurate...would also add Scrier Funds to the list, although they're more of a HF/PE hybrid I believe.

What do you mean by prestige? You can make rankings by performance, academic credentials of PMs, selectivity, media coverage, size, and so on, but the rankings won't align much...
