Move from Rx to m&a?
Hi all,
Wondering if anyone in the distressed space or who has considered the same thing has any thoughts.
Currently a first year in an IB restructuring group, enjoying the work and have considered eventually going to a distressed fund. However it’s been very slow recently, the distressed debt opportunity set is extremely limited, and with consumer demand likely picking up it’s hard to see how the distressed industry picks back up.
Is it short-sighted to consider moving more to M&A? Feel like being able to look at more businesses, having those reps would be more beneficial as an investor in the long run
