I know there's the typical 2+2. I am wondering if it possible to move to PE after joining IB as an associate post-MBA? Would you enter PE as an associate if so? Also would the PE exits be UMM/MF or more like LMM/MM? All this considering no prior IB/PE experience pre-MBA.
Would appreciate any insight

Very, very tough. No shot at MF or UMM.
No shot at MF as posted above. But, I think there would be an okay set of options in MM (maybe more LMM though). You would join as Associate / Sr. Associate. Seen it a few times.
This has been asked a ton of times. It's an uphill battle and chances are higher than LMM funds with less structured hiring processes.
