Moving Banks after SA
Hi all,
I am a non-target who got an offer a few months back from a MM in NYC (should be easier to network there) for this upcoming summer. I got on very well with the people I spoke to, and am optimistic about this summer.
However, I am just curious about securing a FT offer from a different bank, assuming I get a return offer after this summer. As a person, I like to keep doors open and am curious to hear about anybody who went MM > BB, MM > EB, or MM > MM.
Not impossible. However, if you want to go from MM to BB after your summer, you have to network like a dog. You’re gonna be recruiting against Wharton, NYU kids who went to a better bank than you. Ex: An NYU kid who did a summer internship at CS and then applying for JPM FT.
When do you think is the optimal time to start that process?
