Moving From UK to US
I've recently found out that I don't have US citizenship despite living here for most of my life, and therefore am subject to international prices for college, and will also require sponsorship for my work permit. So what I've decided is to attend school in the UK and save some money, get a banking job in London then transfer to NY or other locations in the US. There's also a possibility I might get citizenship for the US while attending school.
Would you guys say this is feasible?
If you are from India / China / the Philippines it probably isn’t worth it - realistically, you’ll be stuck on a H1B indefinitely with a slim and long chance of ever getting a Greencard. That means being at the whim of your employer, and the government (as many H1B holders who left the U.S found out when being unable to return). You can’t switch jobs at ease, will be treated as a 2nd class person by the U.S govt, etc. Not worth it.
Also: you’ll be pleasantly surprised how you’re treated in the U.K as compared to the U.S. Despite things like Brexit, there’s a lot less race/sex/etc “-ists” and people are much kinder / generally well mannered and educated. Enjoy the U.K and Europe ;)

I'm on an L1 visa and most likely will receive my green card during 2nd year of University. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
How sure are you of that? The Greencard process is currently frozen and there is a real chance it stays that way if 45 is in office. I also became eligible when I was 17, and now I’m over 21 and still in the process for the GC :) Also not from an “overrepresented country”.
Damn, I didn't think about that. But I'm not sure what the landscape looks like right now after Brexit n all.
When you switch to the student visa at 21, you're throwing away the H4 that you were on your whole life prior to that and your spot in the line for GC. You basically start again from the back of the line.
Also, Brexit might change it, but certain things in Britain make it seem a bit better. Firstly, it's a lot easier for firms to sponsor internationals, so you're not restricted in where you can try to get hired. Also, we have a chance at Oxbridge, a very good shot at UCL/LSE and it's pretty easy for us to get into Kings or Warwick. We definitely do not have similar odds at the ivies, Stanford, Chicago, or any other schools of a similar caliber.
