Moving internally to different cities

Hey! I was wondering how difficult it is to move internally in a bank from one office to another? I'm especially curious for moving from the London office to the NYC office or from the London office to the HK office.

Depends on the bank and depends on capacity. Space in the offices you want to move to is usually the largest constraint for banks. It can be done with good reason (family, SO etc) after you've been at the bank for a bit and if you can make a decent case (want to explore another sector that is mainly done from that office, you have the language skills etc). Some banks have an internal 'exchange' scheme where you transfer for a couple months - see if yours has it. That's a good way to start and then head there longer term
