MUFG Project Finance?
Thoughts on MUFG’s IBD summer internship in project finance? What are potential exit opps, WLB, compensation, and can I lateral to a BB M&A?

MUFG is top for PF
Agreed. I’ve even seen an exit to blackstone from it
Apparently best for PF
no it is not the best
please can you do some research and ask focused questions and people in the industry are more likely to respond to you with detailed answers. it is not as simple as yes/no you can go to a BB m&a group
PF is different from M&A so lateral to BB M&A is not straight forward. That being said it is still possible at junior level to lateral to PUI M&A.
Depending on group you might have good exposure to modelling but as far as I know MUFG has a dedicated modelling team so potentially you don’t touch the model which is a downside.
MUFG is definitely one of the best PF banks due to its large balance sheet, together with banks like SMBC, SG, CACIB, Santander etc
mufg doesn't have a dedicated modeling team- and you'll be looking/tweaking/running sensitivities on every deal
Anyone know how the 2024 PF SA recruiting works? Have they filled their class yet or even begun recruiting?
Pretty sure they already filled the PF team for 2024.
Can't speak to MUFG, but I work for another bank in PF and we definitely have not filled our 2024 Summer Analyst class yet. We start recruiting in the fall.
