Multiple Superdays For Lateral Analyst - Any Advice Helpful
I have been going through a drawn out lateral process for the past 2 months with a top tier bank. Ultimately went through 3 phone interviews and a superday. Post-superday, I received a "Good News" email stating I was invited back to the office for a "final round" interview (same general format as the first superday).
My initial thought is that the interview will be with senior bankers for a final decision between 2-3 candidates. But looking for some insight on why they have included an additional superday / what to expect, as I have never heard of this type of process before.
Did you meet with the entire team the first time? Could be that someone who's ultimately making the decision wants to meet the top candidates before making an offer.
I'm interested in potentially getting involved in a lat-process like yourself. But from what I've seen its more fringe banks. How did you get involved in a process at a top bank, was it a recruiter, company website, or through networking?
Met with a decent amount of team members in the group, mix of VPs and Associates.
But I’ve had success finding lateral opportunities through my friends in the industry. I’ve found a lot of times, banks are looking to hire laterals but don’t post anything on listings or their website, so my advice would be to have your connections actively ask about plans for laterals and whoever’s in charge of recruiting should have a straightforward answer
