Honestly though...didn't pandit say that Citi had its best quarter since 2007? Couldn't they have just posted a smaller loss than in Q1 2008? They lost like 5 bn in Q1 and more since then.

MMBinNC, I believe Pandit said that C was PROFITABLE for the first time since Q307. Granted, this is probably Vik stretching the truth a bit, but he did claim the bank has been profitable thus far in '09.

 

London, you haven't even started your SA stint yet so this is hardly YOUR bank, count yourself lucky if you have a position come June (at your bank).
