Natixis Investment Banking?
Does Natixis have an investment banking division? If so, what do they specialize in?
Also, any info on comp and hours there?

Career Resources
They own majority in Solomon partners. They also have their own IB division. Not really sure how that works.
Natixis’s IB groups do LevFin and other financings. My understanding is that they are quite strong in certain balance sheet products.
Better than they used to be in France
They pay around 10-30k usually in bonuses to analysts from what I heard
How does natixis compare with pnc?
Natixis is far better if you want to work in IB, Lev Fin, DCM, ECM.
Perhaps not a bad place to start, but you really want to stick with either a BB, EB or strong MM group either for lateral opportunities or ideally out of undergrad.
Previous VP had lateraled from N to a balance sheet levfin group. Extremely capable guy and just a good person all around, seems like N isn’t the end of the world if that’s what you get.
Strong MM CLO shop - can’t add a ton on other groups though
Yes. DCM, ECM, LevFin, and Coverage sit within the IBD umbrella. French bank, so naturally strong in project finance with a large balance sheet. Big focus on energy & infrastructure in the Americas. All-in comp is on par with street at the junior level but does widen in certain groups as you move up. IB hours but they are not always brutal -- long weeks are driven by live deals, not incessant pitching. 4 weeks of PTO as an analyst and you are encouraged to use every day. Good place to be a career banker, but not first choice if your only goal is exit to PE.
They do M&A (and have 3 M&A boutique subsidiaries notably Fenchurch, Solomon Partners) LevFin, DCM, ECM, Project Finance, and more. Quite a strong firm, competes with BNP, Credit Agricole, and the likes.
Natixis CIB doesn’t do M&A (at least in France) but BPCE (the holding that also encompasses one of the major retail banks and the largest asset manager in Europe) has a boutique named Natixis Partners, which is a pretty big player in midcap/upper midcap M&A (in France again).
