They pay around 10-30k usually in bonuses to analysts from what I heard

Perhaps not a bad place to start, but you really want to stick with either a BB, EB or strong MM group either for lateral opportunities or ideally out of undergrad.

Previous VP had lateraled from N to a balance sheet levfin group. Extremely capable guy and just a good person all around, seems like N isn’t the end of the world if that’s what you get.

Yes. DCM, ECM, LevFin, and Coverage sit within the IBD umbrella. French bank, so naturally strong in project finance with a large balance sheet. Big focus on energy & infrastructure in the Americas. All-in comp is on par with street at the junior level but does widen in certain groups as you move up. IB hours but they are not always brutal -- long weeks are driven by live deals, not incessant pitching. 4 weeks of PTO as an analyst and you are encouraged to use every day. Good place to be a career banker, but not first choice if your only goal is exit to PE.

Natixis CIB doesn’t do M&A (at least in France) but BPCE (the holding that also encompasses one of the major retail banks and the largest asset manager in Europe) has a boutique named Natixis Partners, which is a pretty big player in midcap/upper midcap M&A (in France again).
