Need Help - Info on Duke
I'm planning on applying ED to Duke. How good is the school for IB and PE placement?
I also want to add schools similar to Duke to my list so suggestions for that too would be great.
I go to Duke, we place extremely well in NYC for both IB and buyside (PE, HF etc). As long as you join the standard clubs freshman year you should place fine. Some people say that you need greek life for some firms but that isnt true at all.
To answer your other question, a few schools that I would say are similar to Duke in terms of quality and 'feel' are Stanford, UPenn, and Northwestern.
Duke is not in the same quality level as Stanford, don't kid yourself. Sports emphasis & vibes, sure.
I would say UPenn is very very different from Duke in vibe.
Duke sucks, try going to a real target like Harvard or Wharton
