Need some advice for getting into IB

Hello,

I need some advice for getting into IB

I'm a rising senior at NYU studying econ.

For 2 and a half years, I studied Chem for Pre-med, so I have zero IB internship experience. I just did an audit internship at a big 4 firm (it was the only thing that worked out for me this summer), and I'm doing a part-time fintech internship during the fall.

Realistically, I want to know what steps I should take next for getting into IB. I am a senior now, and so I am applying for full-time analyst positions at MM firms in NYC and Boston, but I realize my chances are slim, because I'm probably considered a high-risk hire.

As a back up, I'm considering doing a masters in finance at Boston College or another school with a similar program, then reapplying for full time positions.

Anyways, what do you guys think? What can I do to maximize my chance of getting into IB? Should I even try for full time positions this year? What steps should I take next?

Would appreciate your advice.
