NEED SOME HELP ON DECISION (SUMMER OFFER)

Hi WSO - I was very fortunate to get summer offers from MS (SF/LA), Lazard (SF/LA), GHL (NY), PWP (SF/LA)... Can someone provide some insights as to how/what each firm could provide in terms of IB trajectory, buy-side opps, and etc.?

I'm just a summer associate, so take this for what it is worth, but...I feel like MS is absolutely crushing it right now and their focus on IBD makes them extremely formidable for a long time to come when you see other banks look toward consumers and other avenues. I had a few chats with different MS offices in CA and enjoyed the conversations, a very small sample size obviously. In my opinion, MS will give you a really well-rounded IB experience (IPOs, DCM, ECM, etc).

MS will also speak louder on a resume if you are leaving the industry, something to think about. I don't want to speak to the exits and the other points because I am not in a position to do so. Just really impressed with what MS is doing in banking right now and think it's great that they are a larger institution that has a more narrow focus (IB/wealth mgmt) than their direct competitors.

How are you even deciding at this point? Recruiting for 2021 SA's was in early may last year...
