Start working on the Visa situation now. Recruitment starts in August. Look at all the BB banks and find their dates, plus some of the bigger second tier banks.
BB: CS, GS, MS, JPM, Citi, BAML, UBS, DB, BarCap 2nd tier: CA, BNP, HSBC, RBC, RBS, SG, SC, WF, etc.
Make a spreadsheet and start working on those apps. What is your GPA and are you at a target school? And thumbs up on the last line ;)

Can we apply simultaneously for two summer internships (one based in London and the other NY) ?? ... I know some banks don't allow applicants to apply for both a summer internship and an off-cyle at the same time, but have no idea on the policy regarding the location ...
London and NY should have totally different recruiting processes so yes you could.
