Networking--how many per bank?

As far as networking for a 2015 SA position, how many people do you want to target ideally for each bank and ask them later on to forward your resume to HR? 5? 10?

What is a good number to aim for? Or is it really just a couple that you have formed a good rapport with?

Even one is fine if it's the right person and you have good enough credentials. And from my experience, sometimes associates could help you more than senior MDs; so it's not just the MDs who have the most pull.

I'd limit it to a couple people per group. People talk and you don't want to be spamming two many people in a group. Especially on a sales/trading desk as the world can really get around.
