Just a quick question I have a call tomorrow with an analyst at a top BB in the industry group that I want to work in after college, I reached out to him via LinkedIn and he is in my fraternity (at a different school).
My question is he is in the San Francisco office and I am really targeted NYC for FT. How should I go about asking him to pass my resume along, because correct me if I am wrong but there are different recruiters for the two offices. How should I go about this situation?

Unless he personally knows bankers in the NYC office and particularly those that spearhead recruiting, not much he can do. Your best bet is to try to position yourself for an interview at the SF office and, if all goes well, lateral to the NYC office down the line.
OP, I'm in a similar situation. I would try to land the SF offer then try to leverage that into NYC. It is definitely a long shot, but that is the best approach. I don't know if it would be a good idea to tell the SF guys you really want NYC upfront. That could ding you
