Networking Strategies

Hello everyone,

I am currently a freshman student and very interested in pursuing a career in investment banking. I have been trying to network with people recently so that I can try building long term relationships to help me out when I do end up recruiting. I’ve heard a lot of people say “look at deals that the bankers have done so you have something to connect upon”, but how can I find a specific deal that a banker has worked on without asking them? what’s the best way to find the deal a banker worked on and how do I bring it up in discussion? thank you for your help.
