Networking/Recruiting 2021

I just started networking for some of the big banks that are open recently for 2021, I was wondering how much networking I actually need to do before I apply? I’m at a target and I’ve just been cold emailing alumni and have gotten a few phone calls here and there, but I’m not really sure what to do after that. Did I start too late/how can I catch up? What do I do now going forward for the apps that are open already? Some apps aren’t open yet and they are doing on campus info sessions, but hundreds of people show up to those.
