Can you add deals onto your resume that you helped out with but weren't a lead analyst on? Do banks call your prior employer to confirm your staffing?

Yes, you can add deals on your resume that you weren't lead analyst on. Where it can come up is during your reference calls though, so I would not lie about your role / responsibilities.
I thought the only check that happens is HR/third party checks calling prior firms HR team for date/title verification.
I guess I’m going under the assumption your references will include people at the current firm you work for (but you never know what off sheets are conducted). And this is probably less true for banking, but for both PE offers I received the firms emphasized the reference checks.

The new team definitely gets in touch with your former team members when recruiting. This would be an insta-ding risk, why do it?
