Next steps?

Hey all - Happy holidays. Wondering what should be my next step...

Background: Graduated from a top LAC in '21 and joined a small private credit shop and moved over to BB Corporate Banking ~10-11 months ago due to funding getting dried up

Problem: I don't feel challenged whatsoever, work I do is very boring and administrative (spreading financials, looking at models done by Lev Fin, KYC & etc). I don't particularly miss modeling that I was doing at my old gig (mostly LBOs) but I want to be challenged and learn more about credit/fixed income space.

Currently looking to move over to credit research (HY / Lev Loans), leveraged finance, DCM or potentially equity research(??)

Are those roles even achievable for me as I only have ~9 months of Private Credit/LBO experience? If not, is it better to lateral to a more traditional IB group?

Thanks in advance!
