Night 2 : Lehman's presentation
- They are too cool for videos, powerpoint, or gift bags
- Your research sector can be Casinos (I am not making this up)
- Don't seem to believe in firing
- First year investment banker Analysts work MAD hard there... 80 hours a week, usually out by 9
- They don't give a crap if you don't know what you want to do, they'll just throw you in a generalist program and let you try everything...free love baby, no commitments...Swingers! (Oh Vince Vaughn how far you've come)
- Chicks in Research are HOT
- Wall streeters can find love ...aww
- Food on a stick is very dangerous when you are very hungry.
- ECM and CMD i-bankers go to hedge fund and trading (actually something useful for once! should answer all those questions about if i-bankers only go to PE)
Conclusion : Lehmans is the bad ass step child of I-banking
Not much to criticize here, was actually pretty impressive making this post rather lame. People were actually able to give real answers instead of basically reciting a memorized script about "It's the people" like Morgan Stanley. Should have a better post when Goldman speaks.
It's very possible they were completely BS'ing, but if so it was MUCH more impressive and believable than MS.
"- Food on a stick is very dangerous when you are very hungry."
Oh do expand on this.
I quite like Lehman and the people I've met who've come out of there. A lot less BS, as you say.
Dude you go to Duke? Your schedule is just the same as Duke's info sessions.
Something tells me he goes to NYU, might be the "stern" in his name. It'd be pretty amusing if he did go to Duke though...
I know, but the info sessions have been on the exact same days.
Dun dun dun! For the record I'm using light-hearted sarcastic humor, kind of hard to emphasize that online.
