No Bonus Thread??!
Haven't seen one yet and want to see what the street is paying juniors in the covid era. Seems like lots of kids will be getting their numbers in the coming days/weeks. Let's do the usual
Bank: EB /BB /MM Position: An1/2/3 Bonus: $$$ Bucket:
Anything else?
its literally here https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/how-did-covid-affect-your-bonus
that is not a bonus thread in the traditional sense. we want to see BB/EB/MM/Boutique, An1/2/3, bucket, base, raise, bonus. cmon fam
I'll start
Bank: Low BB
Position: AN1
Bonus: 52.5
Bucket: Probably middle? Need to confirm with bullpen
Anecdotally hearing down 10-20% from senior analysts
Sucks that it was down but that actually doesn't seem too bad.
What's base at your firm?
85k. bumped to 90 for 2nd year
Thought all bb was 85/95/105
When are mid year reviews supposed to be? At lower BB and haven’t heard anything.
Bank: Middle Tier MM Position: AN1 Bonus: $35K Bucket: Upper Middle
In talking to peers, down about 15% YoY
When you say MM, please emphasize the tier: (i.e., HL/Jeff/WB vs Lincoln/Piper/Cain vs boutique).
is hw top or mid tier
Bank: MM Position: AN1 Bonus: $40k Bucket: Top
Anecdotally heard that highest bonus last year was $45k, so in line w/ the 10-15% reductions others have mentioned. Also, fuck having a top bucket bonus be ~50% of base - w/ how much the government takes to redistribute and fund the world's largest ponzi scheme, shooting for mid-bucket is the better play.
bump
terrible title for this.
Agreed
Do any of these numbers include first year stub? Curious how many analysts even get a stub as I know some banks don’t do that.
We just got ours
Bank: Low BB
Position: AN1
Bonus: ~52
Bucket: Middle
interested
Bank: BB Pos: AN1 Bonus: 65 Bucket: somewhere b/t top and middle
Bank: Top Industry Boutique Pos: AN1 Bonus: 80k Bucket: Top
IK bonus seems good but I genuinely have worked ~1.25-1.5x the hours of most of my banking contemporaries/friends. My roommates were coming home 11-1 and I was routinely going home at 4-6. I was logging in 110h/wk for 6 months straight and would guess that I averaged ~95h/wk over my first year. Not complaining - very grateful to have a good-paying job during COVID and feels like I learned a lot but just wanted to give some context to the numbers
Wow man that's tough. Good for you for sticking it out..
