No FT Offer — Should I Do a US Master’s to Break into Fixed Income?
Hey all,
I’m a fresh grad from a target uni in a financial hub in Asia with a few fixed income-related internships, but I haven’t been able to land a full-time offer.
I’m really keen on building a career in fixed income and ideally want to work in the US for 3–5 years. Since recruiting hasn’t worked out, I’m thinking of doing a US Master’s in Finance — but I’m not sure if it’s the right move just because I can’t find a job.
Would love to hear thoughts — is the Master’s worth it in my case, or should I explore other routes like starting in Asia and trying to move later?
Appreciate any advice!
Do a UK/EU master instead of a US master, which worth nothing more than a toilet paper
