about a month back I had a conversation with an md( friends dad) of a bb in NY, and he personally emailed the head of an operations analyst program asking if they had room to employ me this summer. Since then the guy in charge of the program has gotten two reminders from this md, and I've yet to hear anything back. What should I do? give up? email the guy directly? I really don't want to bother the md again if I could do without it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

email the guy directly indicating your interest and willingness to setup either in person or phone interview.
persistence wins in this business, email or call show you want it.
Dont let this opportunity go to waste, get in touch with the guy heading the program if possible.
