Currently at an EB and received my first paycheck last week. I know this is the most first-world problem ever, but we're getting salaried instead of being paid hourly?
All my friends at BBs (except gs lmao) and MMs are getting paid hourly and racking in that overtime money, so was curious to see if this was the norm.

It should have said in your offer letter, i know JPM IB is prorated same with GS for SA
The only firm ive heard that pays hourly is Wells Fargo tbh. Also heard MS does overtime, but its 0.5x
Did you never look at your offer letter? It says how you get paid in the letter.
Mine’s prorated as well and I am at a shop where I worked 100 hours over 5 days last week. Sucks to be paid on a prorated haha.
you know you don’t get overtime when you work full time right…..
yeah of course I know that man. The bonus at my shop should more than makeup for the hours for FT. I am just saying that as someone who knows many others who are getting paid overtime as an intern, it definitely makes me a tad bit sad (specially considering the hours).
