Nomura IBD case study

Hi everyone,

I have a case study interview coming up with Nomura(UK) soon. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how i can go about preparing for this.

cheers

(p.s. Note for our american friends: Nomura took over the remnants of Lehman in Europe)

Hi Guys. I have my first round interview with Nomura UK for IBD next week. Would you be able to share with me what the case study is about for the interview? Thanks.

EntenduI had an odd case study when I interviewed with Nomura that centered around opening a dog grooming business. Seemed more or less like the limited number of consulting case studies that I did, so I'd assume preparation would be more or less the same. Obviously a stronger focus on finance though.

Mine was exactly the same a few years ago. Interviewer seemed to care about my knowledge of how a business functions more so than financials (which were primarily regarding industry drivers and growth/discount rate assumptions than anything else). I'd specify what sort of intuition they would like you to approach the case with. Good luck

Thanks Entendu. I have been told that a major aspect of the case study are the valuation multiples. And that I should know and be prepared to discuss why P/E and EV/Sales and EV/EBITDA and which to use when...was that the same case with you?
