About to start team placement for FT, and not sure which teams have the best to offer at Nomura.
I’m looking at GII, Consumer, M&A and maybe TMS but not sure what the pros and cons are of each team. I’m looking for good deal flow (I.e not just pitches) but also somewhere with a good team culture so I don’t hate my life.
Anyone have insight on these teams?

GII is best team by a mile. They work harder. Whole bank has good culture (apart from healthcare). TMS picking up a after a few changes in the team. C&R deal flow very year dependent it seems (i.e. sometimes you're on a massive mandate other times it is just pitches). M&A has good deal flow as it's just execution work. No pitching in M&A.
