Non–Russell Group non-targets in London PE internships
Is it true that it is a possible occurrence? I hear lots of non-diversity non-targets getting London PE internships—but I presume they are still from Russell Group schools—do I stand a chance with previous IB internships even if I'm from a non–Rusell Group group nontarget school such as one located outside UK/Europe? Is any attempt to apply to London PE off cycles & summers a waste of time?
As a follow up, what SPECIFIC kinds/examples of PE firms do non-target internship applicants get into?

In summary, while being from a non-Russell Group non-target school may present challenges, it is not an insurmountable barrier. Leveraging previous IB experience, applying strategically, and considering diversity programs can enhance your chances of securing a PE internship in London.

It’s possible but not at a UMM/MF, I’d say solid shot at a MM assuming decent prior IB Experience.
