Non-target Texas school kids in current SA class

How are these non-target kids from Texas schools getting placed to this years class? I heard that one kid from Texas A&M placed at JPM, two kids from Baylor at MS, and a few (not sure how many) kids from SMU are placing across the board. (Don’t know specifics on any of these kids it’s just here say). What gives? Are these kids well connected or are these schools actually being recruited?

One trend I have noticed is that just the sheer amount of raw talent has shot up at texas high schools over the last few years. Lots of kids decline out of state options for cost reasons yet still want to pursue the same lucrative career paths. Awareness for banking has also gone up a ton as I am starting to see hs kids here decide on colleges based on banking chances.

Plus, considering that the texas unis are huge, there obviously has to be a bare minimum number of soon-to-be bankers in the crowd (can't just rule out thousands of kids).
