Not a good coverage banker, want to switch to m&a

My Attention to detail is shut in PowerPoint. I mess up so much but never in excel (better with numbers and enjoy modeling more). Should I try to leave my cov group and switch to m&a at my bb

M&A also requires a lot of PowerPoint, esp. for sell-sides.  You’ll be putting together teasers, CIMs, management presentations etc.  Unless you’re doing mostly buysides, ppt is very much present.

if you’re struggling with ppt, try to get a checklist of common errors and then use that when reviewing your work.

I only did a summer assoc. internship in m&a this summer so keep that in mind for context

Would Sponsors bankers (from firms who run the model) have an easy transition to M&A?
