Objective: Final Verdict

I want to get a final consensus on whether or not one should include an objective on their resume when applying to IBD positions. I hear a lot of people saying (and I feel the same way) that it is completely unnecessary and unprofessional. However, I've spoken with a few analysts/associates who have told me to include one. What are your thoughts?

DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY OF THESE WANKERS THAT TELL YOU NOT TO!!!!

I used something like the following for a summer internship:

"Objective: To obtain an internship in the field of financial services to utilize my VAST analytical and quantitative skills."

See here for the acclaim I received from Mis Ind for the articulate and panty moistening objective I placed on my resume.

I had full time offers from every bank on the street - GS, MS, C, LEH, BSC, JPM, UBS, CS just because I was smart enough to put an objective telling them that I wanted an internship and how baller I was. Instead of doing what the Vayner fucker did with UBS.

Those were the only ones were worth applying to anyway. I mean really, like I would have cared to apply to Lincoln International, sounds more like a fucking car dealership than an investment bank.

-->>>>Seriously don't include an objective. To some reviewers, its the kiss of the death.

The world has changed. And we must change with it.

------------ I'm making it up as I go along.
