Off-Cycle Networking for Investment Banking

Now that Investment Banking recruitment season for interns is over on-campus for MBA grads, any tips on how to go about networking for a FT role post graduation. It seems super early to network now for a role starting Summer 2025 so unsure of how to go about networking for one.

Do you think it would be good to wait or would creating relationships and asking for informational interviews starting this month might not be harmful? Or would it be unusual?

I do not want to be too late for it when everyone else jumps on the bandwagon by the time it is Summer 2024 and networking becomes a pain and competitive.

Basically, looking for tips to justify my reaching out this early to any banker for a FT role post-graduation.

PS: Targeting investment banking roles in the Energy space and Real Estate.
