Offer at BB, opportunity to work on trading desk in spring

Hello everyone,

I signed an offer to a B this past October. I have an opportunity to work at a trading desk at a competing bank (not bb, but still well-known) this spring. I've always wanted to work on a trading floor and the product this desk focuses is somewhat relevant to my ft-offer. The desk has made it clear they aren't looking for someone FT and I would definitely join the bb this summer. Are there any compliance issues (I never signed a non-compete)/should I check with the bank I signed for FT with or not even bother bringing this up?

Thank you for any help or advice.

So you want to continue to intern when you have an offer in the bag? Do not mention this, do not take the internship, go a have fun.

wellthen qs344:

you're not very familiar with risk-reward are you

what does it have to do with risk-reward? its either okay or it isn't lol

I really don't like you, and not just because you end sentences with "lol" because you have no idea what is happening.

What is the reward? What is the risk? Risk is you lose your offer and have no job. Reward is....well i don't really know, because you're giving up the opportunity to travel have fun, be normal but you'd prefer to get coffee for some people who will never employ you......How on earth you got a job on a desk is beyond me.
