Looking for places to intern in NYC this summer and am particularly interested in o&g/industrials/energy. I know there's a lot of activity in Houston, but I have already spent a summer there and want a summer in NY. Thanks!

There weren’t many in NYC to begin with. Don’t think most would be interested in taking a random intern - only guys I know with PE internships had insane connections
There are shops like Riverstone but I would imagine you’d have to know people to get in there as an intern. Lots of infrastructure funds that cover parts of the O&G value chain, but not a ton that are oil and gas specific.
If you want O&G, go to Houston. Wouldn't advise joining the industry now though. Plenty of opportunities elsewhere, especially NY.
Consider firms that are moving into Renewable Energy. It seems like a hot market right now
