on-cycle possible after lateraling?
Current An1 looking to lateral from my current seat (MM IB), ideally within the next 6-9 months, to improve my odds at UMM/MF PE. Given that on-cycle kicks off in January, it seems I'll likely miss the window here.
Will attempting to lateral first completely eliminate my ability to participate in on-cycle, or will lateraling effectively buy me another year of eligibility to participate in on-cycle the following year? Does it make more sense to recruit on-cycle from my current seat, or will lateraling open up more opportunities regardless if I'm unable to participate in on-cycle (via off-cycle etc.)?
